Our custom-made veneers can transform the shape and color of your teeth resulting in a vibrant, confident smile that matches who you are. Just a few dental appointments can change the way you experience all of life.
What is a Porcelain Veneer?
A veneer is a thin shell of durable porcelain that covers the complete front surface of your natural tooth. Veneers can help correct gaps, misshapen teeth, discolorations, chipped teeth and even misaligned teeth. If you’re not happy with the color or discolorations in your teeth, veneers may be a perfect option to help you have a brighter, whiter smile than is possible with traditional tooth whitening.
We help you see it first!
To achieve optimal esthetics, we often discuss the possibilities of placing multiple veneers depending on what your needs and desires are. This is often a big decision that you want done right! This is why we use digital photography and impressions, temporary bonded material and a physical wax model of the desired appearance of the teeth before we ever begin treatment. We want you to see the proposed outcomes and it assists us in planning for ideal treatment. This helps ensure the treatment stands the test of time and withstands the demands of everyday wear and tear.
The Day of Treatment
- The first step is to prepare the teeth to make room for the veneers. Depending on the condition of your teeth, this step requires anywhere from a very minimal to moderate reduction in tooth structure.
- Then, a digital scan, or impression, is taken to begin the process of designing and creating the porcelain veneers. For multiple veneers, you will have temporary veneers placed for a few weeks while waiting for the final restorations. If you are a candidate for same-day veneers, you will not need to have temporary veneers placed.
- Finally, once the permanent veneers have been tried in and approved by you, they are bonded into place.
Your permanent veneers are unlikely to stain and are resistant to fracture. When well cared for, they tend to last for many years, and even decades before needing to be replaced.
